| SCOPE
Computer is an integral part of today’s business environment. Accounting
practices in different kinds of business activities are being computerised
to ensure efficiency. Computerisation has created new opportunities to those
who become skilled in computerised accounting. But the scope of the course
goes beyond the skill addition and focuses on competency development of a
person in relation to financial decision-making. It includes capital
budgeting, portfolio operation, investment planning and other related areas.
Course structure: The course is divided into two semesters.

All the students will be oriented towards soft skill development
(communication skill, interview skill and personality development)
Eligibility:
Under Graduate students or graduates in any discipline (With basic knowledge
in Financial Accounting).

Certificate/Diploma:
Diploma will be given by St. Xavier’s College after successful completion of
all the four modules.
A separate certificate for successful completion of FACT will be given
jointly by St. Xavier’s College and FACT International.
Attendance Policy:
75 % attendance is compulsory. This being a professional course, there shall
be no waiver of attendance. Students, who have less than 75 % attendance
without a medical or emergency excuse approved by the college authority,
shall not be allowed to take the final examination.

Application forms may be downloaded from the website and completed
application form (along with two passport sized photographs and attested
photocopy of the mark sheet of the qualifying examination) is to be
submitted at Room No. 7 by paying a registration fee of Rs. 100/-. Eligible
candidates may get direct admission subject to the fulfillment of norms.

Payment of fees:
- The course fee may be paid in three installments.
- The 1st installment of Rs. 12000/- is to be paid at the time of
admission. 2nd installment of Rs. 5000/- is to be paid by 15th
September, 2012. 3rd installment of Rs. 5000/- is to be paid by 7th
January, 2013.
- A concession of Rs. 300/- will be offered to the students who pay
their fees in one installment at the time of admission.
- Fees are to be paid at the counter of the Syndicate Bank on the
college premises from 9 A.M. till 1 P.M.
- Fees may also be paid by Demand Draft in favour of “St. Xavier’s
College” payable at Kolkata.
