Scope: Computer is an integral part
of today’s business environment. Accounting practices in
different kinds of business activities are being computerised to
ensure efficiency. Computerisation has created new opportunities
to those who become skilled in computerised accounting. But the
scope of the course goes beyond the skill addition and focuses
on competency development of a person in relation to financial
decision-making. It includes capital budgeting, portfolio
operation, investment planning and other related areas.
Course structure: The course is
divided into two semesters. Semester I covers two
modules:
Module I - Financial Decision-Making
(including basics of Portfolio Management) and Module II -
Computerised Accounting with FACT (offered in collaboration with
FACT International). Semester II covers two
modules: Module III - Computerised Accounting with TALLY 9 and
module IV - Computerised Accounting with ACE
All the students will be oriented towards
soft skill development (communication skill, interview
skill and personality development) |
