Scope: Supply Chain Management (SCM) deals with the network of
organizations that are involved, through upstream and downstream
linkages, in different processes and activities that produce
value in the form of products and services in the hands of the
ultimate consumer.
It encompasses all activities associated with the flow and
transformation of goods and services through to the
end-users. SCM also deals with the information and financial
flows associated with these processes. Logistics is an integral
part of SCM and is defined as the process of strategically
managing procurement, movement and storage of materials, parts
and finished inventory and the related information flows through
the organisation and its marketing channels for the cost
effective fulfillment of customers’
orders.
Course Structure: (i) The course is divided into two
semesters. Semester I (July to December and Semester II
(January to June). (iii) Projects/industrial training are
included in the course.

Management
There will be a
project assignment for three weeks after the completion of the
regular classes.
Semester II
1. Operations Management II 2. Supply Chain Strategies 3.
International Logistics and global Supply Chains 4.
Information technology for Supply Chain Management 5. Customer
Relations Management 6. Total Quality Management .
7. Supply Chain Management Metrics 8. Retail Supply
Chains.
There will be industrial training and project assignment for
3 – 4 weeks after the completion of the regular classes.
All the students will be oriented towards soft skill development
(communication skill, interview skill and personality
development)
