1 Holiday in honour of the Feast of St. Ignatius of Loyola, Founder of the Society of Jesus.
5 Commerce Department organized and industrial visit to Coke.
5 Dr. Arup Kumar Mitra was recognised as a “Fellow of the Society for Applied Biotechnology” in recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the field of microbial biotechnology.
6 Classes began for M Sc. Computer Science and Microbiology.
9 NSS organized a Blood Donation Camp. 667 students donated blood.
10 C R Elections held.
12 Fr. Gaston Roberge was one the speakers at a panel discussion organized by the Dept of Journalism & Mass Communication, Calcutta University, on the occasion of the Mother Teresa birth centenary on the topic "Mother Teresa and Media" at Ashutosh Hall.
12-23 Saurav Chatterjee (English Hons. Sem. III) represented India in tennis at the World University Games at Shenzhen, China. Sourav was placed 7th in the doubles event.
13 Students Union elections held for G Sec. and W C members. Kaushal Nahata (B Com Sem. V) elected G Sec.
15 Independence Day Celebrations organized by NCC. Brigadier M.S. Sandhu, Group Commander Kol “B” Group Headquarters was the Chief Guest.
16 New Provincial of Calcutta Jesuit Province, Fr. Jeyaraj Veluswamy, was felicitated by the teaching and support staff . Fr. Provincial is the President of the Founder Body and Governing Body of the College.
16 Commerce department organized an industrial visit to Jessop Coach Manufacturing Plant.
16 B Ed results published.
18 Classes began for M Sc. Physics.
18 Department of Physics and SXCRC organized a lecture by Dr. G. P. Das of I.A.C.S, on “From Fullerene to Graphene: An exciting journey through the Carbon nano-world”
19 Dr. Suparna Raychoudhury (Dept. of Physics) delivered a lecture on ‘Galaxy Clusters as Laboratories of Hot Magnetized Plasma’ at Jadavpur University.
19 Neha Tripathi (BAGG Sem. V) won the first leg of the Hero Moto Corp-Women's Professional Golf Championship at the KGA, Bangalore.
20 Prof. Gopalan Mullik presented a paper titled “Constructing an Aesthetic Theory of Cinema” at the “Prayoga of Cinema Seminar” organized by Kala Bhavan, Santiniktan.
21-22 Retreat for catholic students of B A / B Sc. Dept. preached by Fr. Rodney Borneo and Fr. Saroj Roy.
25-27 Ayushman Mitra (MCV Sem. V, 802) put up his third solo exhibition “NAAM” at Seagull Art Gallery.
26 New HOD’s rooms for the Departments of English, Political Science and Sociology inaugurated.
26 Fr. Principal’s Birthday celebrated by teaching and support staff.
26 Dr. Subhankar Ghosh presented a paper on “Studies on the Dynamics of Sand Pile” at the Department of Physics Gauhati University
26 Political Science Department organized a Guest Lecture by Prof. Sobhonlal Datta Gupta on the “Contemporary Relevance of Studying Plato and Aristotle”.
27 A half-day orientation programme was conducted for Group D support staff by Mr. Sandip Chatterjee, Vice-President, Gamut India.
28 Devang Kashive won the Gold Medal in the India British Shotokan Kyogi (Karate) National Competition in the 65-69 weight category.
29-30 SCS Organized “X – CALIBRE”
30 Prof. Shukla Ray (Dept of History) was given farewell after 32 years of service in SXC. She was the first lady professor appointed to SXC.
  Asmita Ghosh (Biotechnology Third Year) came first in the regional round of “Take Care Take Charge” initiative, organized by the Times of India, to promote Green Ideas among the youth.
  Prof. Partho Mukherji (Dept. of English) published a book - Study of Selected Poetry (Elizabethan to Romantic), The Book World, (ISBN 9789381231005)
