99 Students from Microbiology
and Statistics Departments participated at the 99th Indian
Science Congress at Bhubaneswar. SXC was the largest college
unit in the Science Congress.
Prof. Ayan Chandra presented a paper co-authored with Stas.
Dept students at the 99th Indian Science Congress at
Bhubaneswar.
Prof. Aniruddha Banerji delivered an oral presentation at
the 99th Indian Science Congress at Bhubaneswar.
Prof. Arup Mitra delivered an invited lecture in the section
of Environmental Science at the Science Congress.
Prof. Anindita Banerjee, Prof. Sudeshna Shyam Chowdhury,
Prof. Madhumiita Mitra, Prof. Mahasweta Mitra Ghosh, Prof.
Kasturi Sarkar presented posters in the sections of New
Biology. Plat Science and Environmental Science at the
Science Congress. All these were prepared in collaboration
of the students of the Dept of Microbiology.

organised for the 15 students from College of St. Benedict
and St. John’s University, Minnesota, U.S.A. who arrived for
a one Semester Exchange Programme. The Alumni Association
hosted a dinner for the 15 students. |

organized an intra-departmental Short Film Festival - "Imago

Mr. Sumit Dutta, husband of
Prof Ishani Dutta of the B.Ed. Dept., who died in the MRI
fire, donated Rs. 50,000 /- for a B.Ed. Scholarship named
‘Ishani Dutta Memorial Gold Medal”. The medal (for Rs.
4000/-) will be given to the best B.Ed student every year. |

Science created history performing at Xavotsav with Amyt
Datta and their team. Euphoria a band From Delhi and D J
Harish also made guest performances. |
