The Hindi Dept. along with its academic programme conduct its
cultural programmes under the banner of “Hindi Literary Society”
or HLS. Hindi is our national language and it is spoken and
understood by majority of Indians. It is also helpful in
marketing, public relations and other jobs. Keeping these in
mind we organize at least one monthly intra-college event
related to the language like poetry-recitation, essay-writing,
debates etc. This helps in brushing and polishing of young
talents in the college and also gives them a chance to express
their views through their literary works. These students are
awarded certificates and also given a chance to participate in
inter-college and national level events. We also send students
to cultural events like ‘Hindi Mela’, ‘Srijan’ and other college
debates and festivals and they have always made us proud by
attaining top positions in such events. Following cultural
activities were held during the academic year:
- Inter College Cultural Fest ‘VIVIDHA’ on 20th march, 2010
- Poetry Recitation ¬ on 13th August, 2010
- Essay Writing ¬ on 30th August, 2010
- Hindi Diwas ¬¬ on 17th September, 2010
- HLS magazine ‘BAHURANG’ was also inaugurated on the event
of Hindi Diwas.
