Objectives

Gender Research

At CGS, we are dedicated to conducting cutting-edge research on various facets of gender, including gender roles, inequality, violence, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Our aim is to contribute to a deeper understanding of gender-related challenges and their societal impact.

Gender Education

We offer comprehensive education and training on gender-related topics to students, researchers, policymakers, and the broader community. Through courses, workshops, and seminars, we empower individuals to engage critically with gender studies.

Promoting Gender Equality and Inclusivity

Advocating for and promoting gender equality and inclusivity is central to our mission. We work to dismantle policies and practices perpetuating gender discrimination, raise awareness about gender sensitivity, and encourage self-reflection on biases.

Intersectionality

Recognizing the intersectionality of gender with other social identities, such as race, class, sexuality, and disability, is a fundamental aspect of our work. We explore how various forms of oppression and privilege intersect and impact individuals and communities.

Creating Safe Spaces

We are committed to establishing safe and inclusive spaces for open discussions on gender-related issues. These spaces encourage dialogue and exploration without fear of discrimination or judgment.

Community Engagement

Engaging with the local community and broader society is essential for raising awareness, promoting dialogue, and fostering positive change around gender issues.

Collaboration and Networking

Collaborating with academic departments, research institutions, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and international scholars is crucial to our collective efforts in addressing gender challenges on a global scale.

Supporting Gender Scholars

We provide support and resources for scholars and researchers conducting gender studies research, including grants, fellowships, and access to research materials.

Policy Advocacy

Engaging in policy advocacy is one of our core activities. We strive to influence government and institutional policies to address gender-based discrimination and promote gender equality.

Publications and Dissemination

We publish research findings, books, journals, and reports that contribute to academic literature and inform public discourse on gender issues.

Vision

Our vision is to continually evolve, guided by emerging research areas, societal developments, and the expertise and interests of our members. Through our objectives, we aim to advance understanding, promote gender equality, and contribute to positive change in the field of gender studies.
