Concept of Twinning Programme:

The Twinning programme is a UGC approved pioneering educational programme which extends the scope of educational programme by introducing the opportunities and access for higher studies through distance mode along with the traditional regular courses. St. Xavier’s College(Autonomous) has a tie up with Directorate of Distance Education, Pondicherry University to offer 2 years UGC approved MBA programmes in 5 different disciplines. Some of the important features of Twinning programme are as follows:

It is not a Full-time regular course on the other hand it is a part-time course and classes will be held only on Sundays for a period of approximately six(6) hours.
Those who have 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2 qualification or those who have appeared in final exam of graduation programme are eligible to join in MBA programme.
The total fees is 45,500/- to be paid in 4 installments and which is affordable to anyone in the present scenario.
The course fees covers free 120 hrs personal contact classes per semester and complete printed study materials.
A candidate may pursue MBA degree as an additional qualification along with any other conventional PG degree programme such as MA, M.Sc, M.Com, M.Ed, B.Ed.,MCA and so on.
The MBA programme is ideal for working people such as in Banking sectors, corporate sectors, Defense sectors, Government sectors, to upgrade qualifications of support staff in any academic institution as it will not hamper the normal duty hours from Monday to Saturday.
The personal contact classes will be conducted by experienced and expert professors.
There is no age bar to join in MBA programme. The senior citizens, housewives may also join MBA programme.
There is no intermediate mid semester exams or submission of assignments during a particular semester. After completion of a semester one has to appear only for final semester examinations which are held twice in a year in the month of December and June every year.

Admission:

Admission will be done in first cum first served basis. Admission Form will be available for 2018 session with effect from 18/05/2018. The candidate has to submit admission form in duplication along with all relevant documents and the fees to be paid to Syndicate Bank of St. Xavier’s College(Autonomous), Kolkata from Monday to Friday (9AM-1:00PM, 2PM-3:00PM). The fees to be paid by cash or by demand draft in the name of “The Finance Officer, Pondicherry University, Puducherry” payable at Puducherry. To pay fees the candidate has to collect Bank Challan from PU-SXC office.

Eligibility:

A candidate is eligible for admission to MBA programme, provided the candidate posses a Degree from any UGC recognized University under 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2 streams. The candidates must have UGC approved degree to join Twinning programme of PU-SXC.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

Application Form and Prospectus will be available from PU-SXC office (2nd Floor of Jubilee Building of main campus) from Mon to Fri from 9:00AM – 1:00PM, 2:00PM – 3:00PM. The cost of Prospectus and Application form is Rs.2000/- to be paid by cash or by demand draft in the name of “St. Xavier’s College” payable at Kolkata. Forms will be available w.e.f. 18/05/2018.
