The year 2013-14 has been a witness to a number of events at the Goethals Indian library and Research Society. A number of researchers from other universities and from places outside Kolkata and also from other countries have visited the library. Several books of Indological interest have been purchased during this period. A large number of email enquiries have been received from around the world. The Goethals News is published regularly with .relevant topics. The popularity of the library has increased in India and abroad.

We are thankful to Prof Durgadas Roy for donating 277 copies of Economic books including many rare collections and research papers. All the books have been transferred to the Central Library of the College.

In 2014, 42 books have been added; 26 researchers
have utilized the library facilities.

GILRS offers fellowships for research on monthly
basis. Library is open from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
